SPCG Public Company Limited ("SPCG") formerly Steel Intertech Public Company Limited, which was established on August 6th, 1993 with a registered capital Baht 2 million. The first main purpose was to be an agent-coated sheet metal forming.

The Solar Power Company Limited (“SPC”) was incorporated on the 20th of August, 1996 with a registered capital of THB 450 million, 45 million shares at THB 10 per share. SPC has entered into the power purchase agreement with Provincial Electricity Authority of Thailand (PEA) for 34 contracts. Each contract entitles SPC to sell 5.88 MW of the power produce by the sun with adder tariff of 8 baht per unit (kilowatt/hour) for 10 years. The COD period has started from 2010 to 2013.

The Company saw the growth potential from the solar farm business and was confident that a merger with SPC would make the company more sustainable. The increased market capitalization of the Company will also help to further develop the potential of the company.

At the Extraordinary General Meeting of shareholders No.2/2553 on October 6, 2553 the proposal was unanimously approved to purchase the ordinary shares of Solar Power Company Limited ("SPC") which engages in the development of 34 solar farm projects, Engineering, Procurement and Construction ("EPC") services for both domestic and international solar farm projects. Other SPC divisions provide Operation, Maintenance and Monitoring ("OMM") services to solar farm projects developed by SPC and EPC's customers of the SPC.

The company purchased 45 million SPC's ordinary shares at a par value of THB 10. The company made the purchase of THB 450 million by issuing 450 million new ordinary shares with a par value of THB 1 per share instead of paying cash to compensate SPC shareholders. SPC's shareholders accepted the offer.

The Stock Exchange of Thailand has approved the merging and subsequently changed its name to the SPCG Company Limited. On May10th, 2012 SPCG was approved by SET to move to the SET main board.
