Somapa Information Technology PCL was founded as a private company in 1995 and became an unlisted public company limited in 2012. During that period, Somapa implemented many systems for the Office of Transport and Traffic Policy and the Immigration Department. During 2015 - 2020, Somapa was awarded an Advance Passenger Processing System (APPS) contract which provides "Real Time" passenger security processing services to process air passengers arriving in departing out or transiting through the Kingdom of Thailand. In 2019, Somapa was ISO/IEC 27001 certified by BSI and recertified in 2022. This shows that Somapa is compliant with international industry security standard and takes information security seriously. Taking things further, Somapa has developed a Passenger Name Record (PNR) system and in 2021 Somapa was awarded a contract to provide APPS and PNR Services for Airports of Thailand. Over time, Somapa has developed into an international organization that now provides comprehensive solutions using state-of-the-art technology systems and innovative business solutions. Today, Somapa has many Engineers, Programmers and Business Analysts with specialised experience in Border Security Solutions and many other solutions.
